Abstract:
iBDC is an Internet interface to a large database which the researcher
can retrieve daily observations acquired from thousands of
meteorological stations spread all over Brazil and South America. Some
of them report these observations since 1888. Up to now we have
accumulated precipitation and temperature data from dozens of
institutions, but it was idealized to deal with anyone in daily format.
It's main goal is to easily answer questions that are, in general, hard
to answer by our climate group. Although it's ready for the Internet
it's not available through it yet. We're now evaluating
the output interface and are finishing the development of pending details.
