JOSÉ ROBERTO M. GARCIA
Fourteen year of experience in Computing Science. B.S. degree in 1989
and Software Engineering specialization in 1993.
Worked as a computer programmer and system analyst at private
corporations from 1990 to 1995, when he became a systems
analyst at the Brazilian Institute of Space Research (INPE) and at the
Brazilian Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate
Studies (CPTEC), where he is currently serving the Database Group. Research
interests include producing web-based applications
that retrieve information from large database systems using Java
Platform and using free Database Management Systems (DBMS)
to support huge amount of data. Fellow of Globalcode Developers
Community, a Brazilian open source educational team.
He is currently finishing his M.S. degree in Database Systems at INPE.
