INTER-AMERICAN WORKSHOP ON ENVIRONMENTAL DATA ACCESS

JORGE G. TEZON

Jorge G. TEZON has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires Argentina. He was a scientific researcher at the National Research Council of Argentina, CONICET, until 2000. With a postgraduate training in Science and Technology Program Administration, he is now a member of CONICET managing staff.

His area of interest related to this meeting is the promotion and organization of networks for the exchange of scientific data. His has focused is survey in the institutional policies and / or barriers for its implementation.

Jorge G. TEZON is actually coordinating the Argentina's project "National Self Assessment of Capacity Building for the Management of the Environment" in association with the National Secretariat for the Environment. This evaluation project, supported by the GEF-UN, considers the availability of updated and reliable data, a main component for the decision making in environment management.
