IVIS CHAN
Ms. Chan is a young professional starting her career in natural resource
management. She received her Associates degree in Science at St. John's
Junior College in her home country Belize. Thereafter she earned her
Bachelor's degree in Biology, with a minor in International Studies, at
the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, USA. Upon completing
those studies, Ms. Chan worked as an environmental scientist providing
technical support to the environmental team of the Stormwater Management
Section of Hillsborough County Public Works Department (Tampa, Florida).
She has recently returned to her country where she is currently the
program manager for the Biodiversity sub-program within the Forest
Department in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and
Industry. Ms. Chan is fluent in English and Spanish.
