Engineering, Industry and Agribusiness: State participation in Control
Policies".
Environment Sub secretary of Rio de Janeiro's State
Administration from 1995 to 1999.
Since 1999 Geosciences Director at the Brazilian Institute of
Geography and Statistics-IBGE. Main recent accomplishments include,
among others: the National Atlas of Brazil; Preparation of the
Operational Base for the Demographic Census of 2000; Implementation of
the IBGE Environmental Statistics Consulting Commission; formulation and
implementation of the National Cartographic Plan; Systematic Mapping of
the National Territory.
